Website Email registrar@nls.ac.in PRESS RELEASE September 15. 2020 2020 ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE The National Law School of India University. Bengaluru has a zero tolerance policy for examination malpractice in 2020. This policy builds on the ()nlinc l?roctoring Protocol and the Candidate Guide for ()nline Assessment which was made available to all candidates before the exam. We now have access to a comprehensive record of candidate conduct during the exam. In a centre based exam real time proctoring is the key to ensure exam integrity. ln NlA'l' 2020 some candidates have already been disquali?ed by proctors during the examination resulting in an auto?submission. However. in an online home proctored exam it is the post examination audit and scrutiny that ensures exam integrity. 'l?his post?examination audit and review is now underway. University faculty and staff and third party technical experts will review the digital record. scrutinize and analyze candidate behaviour closely along the seven data parameters generated by our partner?s technological platform. We aim to eliminate any and every candidate who has indulged in any malpractice from further consideration in the admission process. Some cases of examination malpractice deserve criminal investigation and the University has already lodged a criminal complaint against some actors. However. the University has been subjected to an orchestrated and malicious \-?iIilieation campaign that rests on speculation. lies and outright fabrication. We have been falsel}~ accused of being exclusionary when there is no other national examination of a similar scale that has delivered as many process and infrastructural accommodations as MAI 2020. This campaign has also caused signi?cant distress to candidates and their parents who have kept their faith in the examination process. We call on candidates and their parents not to be misled by this campaign. When the University announces its admission results. the stringency and accuracy of the zero tolerance policy for examination malpractice will be evident to all concerned and leave no doubt in the integrity of the NLAT 2020 admission DIOCCSS.
