Woman Arrested for Domestic Assault
CK19049567 On September 22nd, 2019 Police were dispatched to an ongoing disturbance in
Chatham. Police located a 27 year old woman at the source of the disturbance and she was
arrested. Through investigation the woman was charged with Assault x2 and Assault with a
Weapon x3 against her common-law partner and one count of assault against her 8 year old
child. The woman was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Through investigation, police learned that the man entered the woman's residence without
permission, broke a door and assaulted her. Officers located the man a short distance away

couple. The man fled prior to police arrival. Yesterday morning, the 62-year-old Chatham man
attended police headquarters and turned himself in. He has been charged with three counts of
assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and theft under $5000. He was
transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.

conditions stated that he was to abstain from communicating with a specific Chatham woman.
On October 13, 2019 a physical altercation occurred and police were called. The man fled prior
to police arrival. Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed the man walking in
Chatham. The 25-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and failing to

Yesterday morning, around 11:30 AM, the man and his wife became engaged in a verbal
argument. The incident escalated into a physical altercation which involved the man assaulting
the woman inside their home. The woman was able to leave the residence but was then

under arrest. A 22 year old Wheatley man has been charged with one count of assault. He was
