CONCLUSIONS OF THE REVIEW This review into the circumstances of?occurrence and the subsequent response by members of the Windsor Police Service has been conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police at the request of the Windsor Police Services Board. Police involvement commenced on Monday November 2013 at 11:13 when a 911 call was received at the Emergency 911 Call Centre operated by the Windsor Police Service. Two uniform patrol officers and the officer? 5 supervisor were dispatched to attend the residence located 3' .Windsor. The initial dispatch identi?ed the situation as The officers recognized that this was the residence of their Chief of Police. The De ut Chief of Police was alerted to the incident and also res onded Upon conc ing the call for service, a respon ing mern ers submitted the appropriate reports. The incident was reported initially by the Chief of Police, Mr. to the Chair of the Windsor Police Services Board and Deputy Chief HILL confirmed that this had occurred during a subsequent follow up meeting with the Chair of the Police Services Board. it is the opinion of the reviewing OPP officers that, from the moment that the 911 call was received all involved WPS members both uniform and civilian res ended in an a re riate and re er marine r. In addition, the Windsor Police Service Directives outlined above were adhered to. As the relevant Con?ict of Interest Directive does not speak to reaponding to a situation involving the Chief of Police, the attendance of the Deputy Chief of Police in i this incident was the most appropriate and common sense response to the situation.
