FOR THE WANT NEED OF EXCELLENCE We, the Students of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University have come forth in solidarity to protest against the inexplicably obtuse functioning of the University and the derelict conduct of administrative officers. These dissents are being raised on such a platform because the systematic heel-dragging and coercive tactics adopted by the Administration of the University has made approaches to the authorities an exercise in futility. The conscience of the student fraternity is shaken to the core, owing to the unscrupulous and morally degrading remarks laden with sexual overtones made by certain administrative officials towards the female students, thereby exacerbating the situation resulting in an impasse. In addition, we call upon the authority to take cognisance of the grossly apathetic attitude of the administration towards the plethora of RTIs filed over relevant issues. The regressive policies adopted by an array of incompetent and morally suspect individuals in power have led to the degradation of a conducive and safe atmosphere for quality education and threatened the very fabric of a National Law University Student’s development. We, the students of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University regard the following necessitated demands as basic pre-requisites for proper functioning; intrinsic to and befitting a National Law University. It is with grave concern that we pray for cognizance the sporadic nature of meetings convened by relevant authorities such as the General Council, the Executive Council and furthermore. We call upon the University authorities to efficaciously implement potent progressive measures which are indispensable to law students.   DEMANDS ● The Joint Registrar and Deputy Registrar resign from their respective posts in light of the allegations of harassment and sexual harassment respectively.
