This provincial legislation has established new rules governing child care in Ontario. As an authorized provider of recreational and skill-building programs under the CCEYA, the City of Ottawa will be required to make changes to its before and after school programs. Before and After School Effective September 1, 2017, the following changes will come into effect:  The City of Ottawa is only permitted to offer before or after school programs to children 6 to 12 years of age, including children who will be turning 6 years old by December 31, 2017.  The City of Ottawa is only permitted to provide a child with EITHER before OR after school care. We are not able to provide both services to the same child. School Holidays For children ages 4 and older, the City of Ottawa is pleased to offer a wide variety of camps during the summer months, Winter Break, March Break, and on PD Days.
