I have received a quote from Tod Ashton at Ashton Chartered Accountants for $15,000. I believe the maximum amount I would be entitled to would be $12,000 or $1,000 for each year of service to a maximum of 12 years. I was elected when I was 39 years old and it was my honour and privilege to spend the next 20 years as a member of the Legislative Assembly. My 20 years of service took me to the age of 59. which coincides with having to turn my droughts to a personal retirement plan. I propose that the amount of the allowance could be reimbursed upon receipt of the paid invoice from Ashtons. Plan for personal and corporate reorganization to meet the following objectives: a. Debt consolidation between personal and corporate group b. Simplify the financial reporting system c. Plan for loss consolidation between corporations d. Organize all rental properties under single corporate umbrella e. Tax efficient corporate distribution to shareholders The above services contemplate an extensive review of the current corporate structure and will likely require numerous tax deferred transfer agreements and filing of tax elections. It will also require extensive legal services for the preparation of said agreements. The portion of the fees related to estate and retirement planning with regards to corporate consolidation and distribution to shareholders, together with the filing of any required tax elections and returns, is estimated to total $15,000 and will be invoiced based on the time requirements related to the services rendered, for which we will provide periodic updates as we progress through the job.
