RE: Retraining Assistance Program for Non-Returning
Members (Policy 71.1)

Dear Speaker La?erty, Chair of the Board of Management

Hoping this letter ?nds you and the Board of Management in good health and in approbatory
collective spirit. As a non-returning member of the 17th Legislative Assembly, I weighed and measured
heavily throughout the past year in addressing this policy assistance program. I come forward at this
time fully aware of the policy funding parameters and the potential public scrutiny that all parties share

in such request. I was hard working member of the house with an impeccable public service record and
feel no shame in defending such application for assistance.

I am seeking application to this policy for the full extent allowed, under the terms of ?Financial
retirement counselling and planning?. have researched a number of ?rms that could assist with the

complexities of dealing with both private and public experience in such planning and I am con?dent my
selection meets the criteria of this policy and this letter of request.

I am also aware the Clerk of the Assembly has also received a detailed synopsis of the program
pro?le that deals with Tax and Financial Planning, Insurance Planning and Estate Planning that is being
proposed (He has my approval to submit this wealth planning letter of engagement for you). The
member equally understands this amount of request may or may not satisfy the full expense of this

retirement counselling and retirement planning and the member is prepared to pay any differences out
of pocket.

Should you or the Board of Management members require any further information or request
my presence in person for questioning, I will make myself available.
