This is to acknowledge your letter dated March 23,1015 received in our office by email on the same date.

Your letter alleges that Dr. Tracey Tennis failed to meet the expected standard of care in relation to the care
of Ezekiei Stephan and in relation to the sale of natural health products. matter is being considered as a
complaint in accordance with s. 54 of the Health Professions Act, R.S.A, 2000, c. H77, and will be processed
accordingly

I have determined that your complaint will be investigated pursuant to section 55(2](d) ot the Health
Prafesslans Act. lam the Complaints Director for the College and will be investigating this matter,

I will be reviewing your letter of March 23, 2015 and gathering information about Dr. Tannis' involvement in
this matter. It appears you have already provided all of the information ovwhich you are aware in relation to
this matter but you may be contacted for further information as the investigation progresses. Once the
investigation has been completed, I will then review the information gathered, and in accordance with s.
55(3) ot the Health professions Act, may either dismiss the complaint or refer the matter to the Hearings
Director for a hearing before the Hearing Tribunal. As a complainant you will he notified of the outcome of
the investigation.

Please note that under the Health professions Act, complaints and investigations are confidential. until a
matter is referred to a hearing the Cnilege will not disclose whether a complaint has been received or
whether a regulated member of the College is under investigation. if a member's conduct is referred to a
hearing that information as well as the hearing will be accessible to the public.
