TRUE NORTH ISSUES STATEMENT
RE: MBLL NEW HEADQUARTERS ANNOUNCEMENT
True North Sports & Entertainment Limited today issued the following statement
with regards to the announcement today by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries to move
their headquarters to 223 Kennedy Street:
“This is a significant announcement for Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. True North
Sports & Entertainment Limited will continue to work with MBLL and the Province of
Manitoba in order to advance any and all opportunities we may have together within
the SHED for the development and expansion of True North Square and downtown
Winnipeg. We will continue to move forward with our development planning for True
North Square. We are in advanced discussions with office and retail tenants and have
also already identified our hotel developer and investor partner. We remain
committed as an organization to a bright future for our city and the ongoing
opportunities for True North and its partners to invest in Winnipeg, its people, its
commercial infrastructure and our collective future together in our home town.
As is our practice, any further announcements by True North will come in due
course.
