SUBJECT: City of Reno Participation in the Northern Nevada Pride Festival and Parade

 

This weekend will be the third year of the Build Our Center?s Northern Nevada Pride Festival and
Parade at Wing?eld Park is on July 25, 2015. In addition to being an event sponsor with a
Council approved in?kind special event sponsorship of $3,500.00; the City Manager?s Of?ce has
collaborated with many different departments to involve the City in the event.

Listed below are the City?s plans for the event.

1. Reno Fire Truck and Mayor in the Parade
0 Mayor Hillary Schieve will be riding in the Fire Truck and will deliver a City of Reno
Proclamation announcing July 25, 2015 as Pride Day after the parade at the Festival.

2. Reno Police Department Booth at the Festival
0 The Reno Police Department will have an informational and recruitment booth donated by the

event.

3. The City of Reno will ?y a Pride Flag over City Hall
0 On Sunday, July 26, 2015 the City of Reno will ?y a Pride Flag over City Hall.
