AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF PROBABLE CAUSE

l, Greg Roy, sworn, depose and state that I am a Detective with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit

I have probable cause to believe that Anthony tord, -- committed the ottenses oi

intentional or knowing murder (two counts) in violation otTitle 17A, MM. ?201 and kidnapping, Class 
in violation ot 17-A M.R.S. 301(1)(Bii1).

The tents and circumstance upon which your alfianl relies are as follows;

11 ler atliant learned from net. Jason Fowler otthe Maine State Police that on July 17, 2015
at approximately 5:15 AM, Anthony Lord_ went to 128 Aroostook Rd. in
aenedicta, Aroostook County, Maine, the residence at Rlchard and Klmberly ltish Present
at that address at that time were Kimberly lrish- Brittany Irish--
and Kyle Hewitt Whlle at the residence, Anthony shot multiple rounds
striking both Kimberly lush and Kyle Hewitt. Kimberly and Britney recognized the male
shooter as Anthony Lord. Kyle Hewitt was transported to the hospital and was later
pronounced dead Kimberly's wounds were considered non Brittanylrish
reported to bet Jason Fowler that she attempted to llee the property and was forced to
leave with Anthony Lord.

2. Your aIIlant learned from Sgt, Darrin Crane of the Maine state Police that on July 17, 2015
at approximately 5:23 AM, Sarah Loman-- l-Nlnn Rd, in tee called 911
to report a male later identitied to he ciayten tviccarthy -had come to her
house and reported he was shot along with Kevin Tozler in a wood yard near
Loman's residence. Kevin Tozier was pronounced dead at the scene hy responding olticers
clayton McCarthy's wounds were considered non lite-threatening. Brittany Irish was
present with Anthony at this scene and reported Anthony Lord shot both Kevin Teller and
Clayton McCarthy

3' Vvur atliant learned lrom Sgt. Darrin crane that on July 17, 2015 at approximately 1:51 PM,
Vicky Doughty called to report that Anthony Lord just arrived at 77 North St in Houlton. 
Chadwick Fuller and multiple other Law Enforcement units responded and took Anthony
into custody Sgt. chad Fuller reported that Brittany lrish was located with Anthony at this
location and was not injured

 

4. Anthony Lord was interviewed by Det. Mark Sperrey and Set. Micah Perkins. During that
interview, Lord admitted that he went to the Irish residence and shot multiple rounds at
people inside the house. Lord beiieved that he shot Kim irish and Kyle Hewitt. Lord
admitted to running after Brittany Irish after she escaped out a bathroom window and
flagged down and jumping on the back of a passing by truck driven by Carlton Eddy. Lord
admitted to jumping on back of the truck as well and shooting at the driver until he stopped.
Lord admitted to grabbing Brittany and taking her back to another vehicle and ieaving the
area. Lord admitted to shooting Kevin Tozier and Clayton McCarthy at a wood lot in Lee
after one of them noticed Brittany had an injury to her arm and asked about it.

5. Det. Todd Stetson attended an autopsy for both Kevin Tozier and Kyle Hewitt. Kevin Tozier
had three .22 caliber rounds located inside his body near his chest and neck area. The
buiiets struck his heart and fangs. Kyle Hewitt had eight .22 caliber rounds found inside his
body. Six were located in his chest area striking vital organs. One was located in his pelvic
area and one was located near his jaw.
