STATEMENT BY GOOD WILL-HINCKLEY BOARD CHAIR JACK MOORE The Board of Directors of Good Will-Hinckley, after a great deal of consideration, has voted to seek a new direction for the institution’s leadership. The basis for this decision is grounded in the institution’s desire not to be involved in political controversy that will divert attention away from our core mission of serving children and has the potential to jeopardize the future of our school. Good Will-Hinckley is dedicated to helping those students who are at risk in traditional school settings and find the Maine Academy of Natural Sciences as their answer. Good Will-Hinckley has a very dedicated staff. The Board’s first priority is to act in the best interest of students and educators alike and the Board’s actions reflect its unwavering commitment to them. The Board of Directors recognizes Mark Eves’ professionalism and appreciates his willingness to serve Good Will-Hinckley. The Board wishes Mark continued success in his career. Consistent with Good Will-Hinckley’s commitment to focus on its core mission of serving children, the Board of Directors will not be commenting further on this decision. The Board is immediately initiating a search process for its next president.
