Resulting from the conversion you have two options from which to choose: Option 1 Transfer to Your Independent Grocer Buydown Under this option, your employment will continue at Your Independent Grocer Store Surrey Location and you will become an employee of the franchisee. The terms of your employment will be as described in the YIG Employee Handbook and you will receive a buydown payment of two (2) week?s pay per year of completed service as of the date of transfer, to a maximum of $15,000 for part?time colleagues and $75,000 for full?time colleagues, less statutory deductions. The terms of the YIG Handbook are different than those of the corporate Extra Foods Handbook. In addition, the benefits plan available to YIG colleagues is different than that available to Extra Foods colleagues. As such, colleagues considering this option should read the Handbooks in order to understand the change in terms of their continuing employment. If you elect this option, your new position, rate of pay and estimated buydown (based on your current rate of pay and, average hours of work) amount will be as follows: 1) Position: CASHIER PT 2) Rate: $17.77 3) Estimated Buydown: $15,000.00 You may contribute all or a portion of your buydown payment to your Great West Life group RRSP. Option 2 Transfer to Your Independent Grocer Maintain Certain Economic Terms Under this option, your employment will continue at Your Independent Grocer Store Surrey Location, and you will become an employee of the franchisee. The Extra Foods Handbook terms relating to your hourly rate of pay, current bene?ts entitlement (but not necessarily the provider), wage progression, pension contribution rate, vacation entitlement, and specific premiums (manager relief rate and night shift) if applicable, will continue to apply to you. All other terms of your employment, including the cessation of Sunday Premiums as at the date of conversion, will be as described in the YIG Employee Handbook.
