Dear Parents and Guardians,
Here at George Peabody Elementary School, we strive to create a world-class environment based
upon honesty and mutual respect. When issues of concern are brought to our attention, we feel it is
important to share them with you.
This afternoon, a few of our fifth graders reported that the substitute gym teacher may have touched
them inappropriately. The teacher was immediately asked to leave the campus and an investigation is
under way. At this point, we are still gathering the facts. Still, I wanted you to hear about this alleged
incident from the school rather than through the rumor mill.
