It is sad and shocking that the Moldovans have engaged in a public smear campaign to ruin Andrea Polito’s reputation. Andrea has dedicated the last 10 years to building her well-deserved reputation, photographing more than 600 weddings both nationally and internationally. She has made great personal sacrifices to serve her clients and capture some of the most precious moments in their lives. She has made these sacrifices because she loves her profession and her clients. Ms. Moldovan, a social media expert and blogger, intentionally sought out NBC, as evidenced by requests to friends to share any NBC contacts, and made other statements in social media and to Andrea’s clients to harm Andrea’s business. Andrea became the subject of public shaming and ridicule across the world, through hate emails and voice messages, and incensed reviews and comments on all forms of social media, not only by her peers, but strangers as well. As a single mother who is very private and shies away from the spotlight, she has decided not to respond by interview. Andrea may not ever be able to repair the damage caused by the Moldovans, purportedly undertaken as a matter of principle and in the name of justice. Once the story aired on NBC, the bride stated, “justice has been served.” This is far from justice. But we will seek justice and do what is necessary to protect Andrea, and are in the process of investigating claims for defamation, business disparagement, and tortious interference. Andrea is a genuine person and an honest, ethical photographer who only wants to protect herself, her family, and her business from further harm. Thank you to all of the photographers and supporters across the world. Andrea is humbled and grateful for your support.
