Ms Gren'ier and her bank made several payments to her account which were documented and applied correctly and timely The payments from Ms, Gren'ier and her bank did not, however, equal the amount of the taxes, leaving a balance The bank paid that balance to bring the account current In July, The balance due on the account at this time Is 512 30 The bank Is aware of the balance and intends to paythat amount The assessor errors to this have not in actuality been completely corrected. That would accomplish your goal. From: Timothy Waldron Sent: Friday, February 07, 2014 1:38 PM To: Darlene T.; Robert Crovo Cc: Elinor C. Is it possible for the bank execution fees to be removed given that no taxes or fees were truly owed in the first place? Unfortunately it is unclear why his MV was sent to us from Thomaston in the first place, thus creating this situation. Thanks, have a good weekend. Carbone George Rau Importance: High Good morning, On Tuesday, February 12th I dropped off in person payment of $43.25 to cover the fees associated with George Rau. I received verbal and written confirmation from Darlene that the bank execution would be stopped. I spoke to George this morning who said he talked to the bank this morning and was told that they had sent payment of $43.25 to the Tax Collector’s office to cover these same fees because they did not receive the bank execution cancellation from the Tax Collector’s Office, contrary to what I was told by Darlene happened. As it stands now, I am under the impression that the Tax Collector’s has now received 2 payments of $43.25 and no notice of cancellation for the bank execution has been issued. I would like to know the following: when was/will the bank execution stopped and by what form (Fax/phone call/USPS); when will the $43.25 be returned to the bank; why was I told that the bank execution was stopped when it apparently has not been. If I am mistaken, and the bank has already been sent notice of the cancellation, please forward me a copy of what was sent to the bank to cancel the execution. I look forward to your quick response to this matter. Tim Waldron Office of the Mayor P: 860.489.2228 F: 860.489.2541 55 COTFOI From: Sent: To: Subject: Elinor C. I entered $1588.46 on my spreadsheet and you paid us $1588.43 (like the cash report said). Therefore I believe that you owe us (.03) to balance out the Motor vehicle supplement total. Zordan; Sheryl Lewis; Donna Patchen Linda R. Gordon RE: Sewer use bills Hi, Ray, The simple answer is that the assessor changes sewer addresses, because real estate and sewer are changed in tandem. In this case, the assessor either had the wrong address for real estate to begin with, or they did not change the real estate when or how they should have. Either way, they have to make the changes. We do not have the capability to effect permanent changes of address. We’re in complete agreement with your idea of implementing a live-feed for sewer updates, as exists for real estate updates. It is exactly what should exist. Furthermore, It was my understanding that the sewer update live-feed would be in place very quickly after the long process of QDS putting into place the real estate live-feed. There is no explanation for the delay in that happening. Perhaps Linda can give us a timeframe? Darlene From: Ray Drew Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2014 12:11 PM To: Mary K. Zordan; Sheryl Lewis; Donna Patchen; Darlene T. Cc: Linda R. Gordon Subject: RE: Sewer use bills Hello I am at a loss to explain this it appears that prior to GL 2010 the Bills listed Owner as “City of Torrington-355 Migeon Ave” starting with GL 2010 Owner changed to “City of Torrington-140 Main St” I do not know how or why the changed occurred. The owners are supposed to be updated from the Assessors file prior to the bills being printed. We don’t change owners in Master Sewer, because it is my understanding that when the annual update is done anything in Master Sewer is overwritten by what is in the Assessor File as to owners of record, address changes. Sewer units… I have cc’d Linda to have her take a look as to how this could occur. Maybe there is a way that QDS can set up a live feed update between the Assessor file and Master Sewer and tax that would eliminate the bills being sent to wrong owners/addresses, that way when ever there is something changed in the Assessor file it would automatically be changed in Master Sewer and Tax. Linda can you please take at look at this issue. Regards, Ray Raymond E. Drew WPCA Administrator City of Torrington WPCA Email: ray_drew@torringtonct.org From: Mary K.
